Gerald L. 'Jerry' Michael, age 69, of Whitehall, passed away on October 4, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, surrounded by his family. Jerry was born January 20, 1946 to the late Frederick W. and Clara M. (Sinclair) Michael in Columbus, Oh. He was a graduate of St. Mary's H.S., Class of '64 and served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Jerry is a retired Police Officer of 22 years from the Whitehall Police Department. He is survived by his children, Alicia Michael, Jason Michael; grandchildren, Amaya Michael, Liasia Franklin; brother, Brian Michael; sister, Patricia Sauer; nieces; and other family & friends. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick Michael Jr., Mark Michael; and sister, Mary Ellen DeMarsh. A memorial gathering will be held on MONDAY, October 12, 2015, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg. A funeral mass will be held later this month at Saint Mary Catholic Church in German Village.
