Russell Charles Interrante, Sr., 90, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2019, after a long illness. Russell was born March 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Joseph and Virginia (Giovinco) Interrante. Throughout his final year, Russell always kept a keen sense of humor and a devoted love of his wife. He was the second youngest of five children. On September 11, 1949 he married Frances Celeste Palazzo. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines. After his discharge, he was employed as a shoe designer in New York City for over 42 years, retiring in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Frances; sons, Joseph Anthony Interrante, Russell Charles Interrante, Jr.; daughters, Virginia Elizabeth Interrante, Diane Margaret (Jonish Szomosi) Interrante Szomosi. A visitation will be held on MONDAY, February 4, 2019 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 AM, at the ST. PIUS X CHURCH, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, with Fr. David Young officiating. Procession will form at church. Burial will follow Mass in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Russell's memory to the American Cancer Society.
